Steering wheel covers can improve comfort and grip. They may be useful for people with conditions such as arthritis, who find it difficult to grip a standard steering wheel.

A steering wheel cover makes the steering wheel rim thicker which makes it easier to grip. Different steering wheel covers have different textured grips and the type most suitable will be down to personal preference.

Steering wheel covers fit on over a standard sized steering wheel and do not require any specialist fitting, although it is important to ensure that they fit securely and do not slide about on the steering wheel.
